ABOUT BIZWI

Bizwi is a Startup based in Madrid and Miami, focused on providing a location-specific hot-spot that allows offers to be pushed to customers (direct marketing) who are present at retail outlets, hotels and other businesses to enhance their experience. The application also delivers real-time analytics for business owners and managers to analyze user foot traffic and effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns launched via the system.


WHAT WE DID

We rebuilt the entire application, from the back-end to the UX and UI. We built a powerful back-end that processes almost 20TB per year with 500 sensors, and created an intuitive dashboard for manager access to real-time analytics to measure campaign effectiveness in their retail stores.


BACK-END

We used Python/Django, RESTful APIs, and social auth/registration using Python Social Auth Database to build a robust, Big Data back-end.


DATABASES

We built an hybrid solution between SQL and NoSQL databases using MySQL and Amazon DynamoDB to ensure scalability, and low latency.


AMAZON WEB SERVICES

We built the AWS infrastructure using EC2 with Auto Scaling groups and ELB, SQS, S3 and CloudFront. The system was architected between multiple Availability Zones to improve fault tolerance.
