Helpers is an iOS and Android mobile application that provides a free local safety net – a community of “Trusted” locals who are always nearby when you need them.
The Challenge
Innuy was challenged with updating the application for modern devices and fixing known issues with Helpers.
We needed to improve the backend infrastructure as well as the frontend functionalities to ensure calls for help were always delivered while making sure the backend changes were seamless to the active users while in the mobile app.
What we did
Using our experience in native mobile development, as well as rapid delivery techniques, we managed to update both the backend and mobile app to be usable with the newest versions of Android and iOS devices and migrating flows to newer technologies such as firebase, meeting the relaunch window.
Results & Takeaways
A simple and intuitive native mobile App, ensuring that their users can ask for help with a single button in an emergency, and rapid notifications to nearby users who are able to help.
